Though a bit dated, it's still a wonderful read for anyone who has thrilled to the many books set in Cornwall, from the complex mysteries of Superintendent Wycliffe to "Jamaica Inn" to the novels in the "Poldark" series. Scott brings an intimate knowledge of the region's history and geography as well as the eye of a keen observer.

Too historical and not enough practical. Found no maps to reference so I had no idea
where I was located, other than Cornwall. Going there anyway
