Sky looks like she hasn’t slept in a month.

Sky looks like she hasn’t slept in a month. Sky may like to be part of the Hollywood nightlife scene, but her reputation comes first these days and she’d never behave the way this article says she did. And Alexi. don’t even want to go there. I fling the magazine across the room, and it lands on top of the white wicker chest in the corner. I’m not even sure what’s in that thing because this is not my room. What’s happening to me? When my family reacted the way they did in the hospital, at first I thought I was having a horrible nightmare.

Book 6 of 6 in the Secrets of My Hollywood Life Series. She lives in New York with her husband, Mike; sons, Dylan and Tyler; and their Chihuahua, Captain Jack Sparrow. She invites you to visit her online at ww. encalonitaonline.

HOLLYWOOD SECRET NUMBER FOUR: Sometimes rumors really are just rumors

HOLLYWOOD SECRET NUMBER FOUR: Sometimes rumors really are just rumors. I know I usually say that where there is smoke there is fire, and that’s true a lot. Sometimes the tabloids get a story right months before it breaks. Even celebrities with ironclad confidentiality agreements find that their nannies or housekeepers or ex- boyfriends can find loopholes allowing them to spill the details of their private lives. It’s not like Dad has a major track record yet. He’s worked on a few of my projects that Seth negotiated into my contracts, but Dad’s own production business hasn’t, um, well, ever really taken off. Dad coughs. Well, you know, Preston’s a busy man.

As I write this, Broadway Lights (aka Secrets 5) has just hit stores and I am finishing up the final book in the Secrets series, There's No Place Like Home (which will be out in 2011). Secrets of my Hollywood life series.

In Jen Calonita's sixth and final Secrets of My Hollywood Life novel, Kaitlin learns at last about the price of fame, the unending upside of friendship, and that there really is no place like home - even if it's Tinseltown. At last! A witty, entertaining and refreshingly honest take on what it's really like to be a celebrity 'It' girl. The protagonist is kind, unspoiled, and upstanding–refreshingly different from the norm.

After her brilliant run on Broadway and surviving the harsh concrete jungle of New York City, seventeen-year-old Hollywood "It Girl" Kaitlin Burke is back in L.A. starting a sitcom with her former-nemesis-now-BFF, Sky. The show is a huge success! In fact, maybe a little too huge, Kaitlin realizes, after a bad run-in with aggressive paparazzi puts her boyfriend Austin in danger. She wishes, once again, that she could have a normal life. But what Kaitlin doesn't realize is that her Hollywood life has had a positive influence on just about everyone she loves, and it takes a minor car accident and a nasty concussion to truly grasp how lucky she is. In Jen Calonita's sixth and final Secrets of My Hollywood Life novel, Kaitlin learns at last about the price of fame, the unending upside of friendship, and that there really is no place like home-even if it's Tinseltown.
Worla
Kaitlin Burke is an exemplary teenager: she is unfailingly courteous, kind and considerate of the feelings of others. It is hard not to be a little bit cynical about that, though. This is a girl who has been featured in a popular and long-running television series since she was a toddler. She has had big-screen success, and she is well-respected by her peers. She lives a largely programmed and sheltered existence, and she is restless for opportunities to experience new things. She is loved by her family, but it is also true that they tend to exploit her and sometimes treat her as a commodity. It just seems unrealistic that she is so lacking in vanity and arrogance.

Still, I had no problem overlooking this quibble and accepting the proposition that Kaitlin has overcome the traps of temptation that have destroyed so many that live privileged existences. In addition to an innate decency, she has the benefit of a small group of intensely loyal friends who never engage in cheap flattery. The reader will like those friends, and, like them, he or she will like Kaitlin.

Kaitlin wishes to live life as a "normal" teenage girl for a short time, and she concocts a plan to enroll in the high school attended by her only non-celeb friend, Liz. She completely disguises herself and establishes a false identity as a recent immigrant from Britain. The bulk of the book comprises her adventures in high school and the important life lessons that she learns. The reader will probably anticipate the climactic highlight of her experiment before she does, but that recognition in no way lessens the pleasure of reading it.

When I finished, I was somewhat surprised to realize how much I had enjoyed the book. The plot is entertaining, the characters are delightful, and the writing is clever and breezy. I am going to read the remaining books in the series.

This series really is such a good one! It kind of gives insight for normal people on how celebrities, actresses and actors live. On the fourth one and it just keeps getting better!

I totally love this book. It's like my fave book ever. It's a total page turner, and it totally teaches an important life lesson: Don't let ANYONE bring you down, no matter what. In fact, two: There is no perfect life. You just need to enjoy what you have. Again, I LOVE this book!
