February 2009 · Journal of Physics A Mathematical and Theoretical. Yet, in our laboratories we find no evidence for this appealing symmetry. For this reason, privileged length-scales, such as the Compton length or the Bohr radius, enter directly the emph{equations} of physics rather than surfacing as attributes of specific.

Mathematical physics - Congresses. Epp, Richard J. Myers, Robert Charles.

Superstrings, quantum field theory, general relativity, matrix models, particle phenomenology, brane worlds, and correspondence between de Sitter spacetimes and Euclidean conformal field theory are the overall themes addressed by the 32 papers.

This was the first conference to be hosted by the new Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, and was held in memory of George Leibbrandt, who played a vital role in all aspects of the founding of the Institute and served on its Board of Directors.

AIP Conference Proceedings is a serial published by the American Institute of Physics since 1970. It publishes the proceedings from various conferences of physics societies. In addition to the series' own ISSN, each volumes receives its own ISBN. AIP Conference Proceedings publishes more than 100 volumes per year, with back-file coverage to 1970 which encompasses 1,330 proceedings volumes and 100,000 published papers.

MRST 2002 is the 24th in an ongoing series of annual meetings that brings together an international group of researchers clustered around the Universities of Montreal/McGill, Rochester, Syracuse, and Toronto working on various aspects of theoretical high energy physics. This year features discussions on a wider than usual scope of interrelated topics, with invited talks ranging from the latest developments in cosmic microwave background radiation research and the solar neutrino puzzle to the Bekenstein bound in quantum gravity and the AdS/CFT conjecture in string theory. The main purpose is to encourage increased interaction between traditionally separate but clearly overlapping research sub-disciplines. This was the first conference to be hosted by the new Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, and was held in memory of George Leibbrandt, who played a vital role in all aspects of the founding of the Institute and served on its Board of Directors.
