This book is great; it's short and sweet, and even though I am not in social work, we're using it for my systematic reviews/meta-analysis class, and it's worked really well. A lot of the examples they give can be tailored. It basically goes through everything you'll need to do a really good review, including making better search terms, going through the different databases, extraction forms, assessing quality, etc. Great book!

Super helpful. I still reference it.

This book really helped me with my systematic literature review, I feel some things could have been clearer or maybe explained differently - but all in all a big help !

As a medical librarian, I have experience with systematic reviews. So, I pulled this book from the stacks to learn about meta-analysis. It was so very helpful in understanding the steps I needed to take to add an MA to my SR because it was written in clear easy-to-understand English. I will be purchasing this title for my own collection. Thank you!

I highly recommend this text for those interested in learning more about systematic reviews and meta-analysis. The book is clearly written and includes many helpful strategies and tools. Notably included are several appendices with sample instruments (e.g., data extraction) for use in conducting a review and meta-analysis. I read the book prior to attending a training provided by Dr. Littell. This text provides an excellent introduction to systematic review and meta-analysis.
