THEORIES OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, Seventh Edition, is a brief, readable overview of public administration theory that presents multiple viewpoints, enabling students to develop their own philosophies of public administration, and helping them relate theory to application. The Seventh Edition incorporates a theme of Governance, which explores the traditions, institutions, and processes that determine how power is exercised, how citizens are given a voice, and how decisions are made on issues of public concern.
This is a textbook but it is not organized like a one. The language is oftentimes ornate, and not in a good way. I am an avid reader and a committed scholar, but this book makes me dread opening it because of the vague allusions, inferences, and subtle mentions of concepts that could be explained in a much more direct and concise manner.
Finishing up my Masters degree, and this is by far the worst book I have read in a while. Not well organized, extremely confusing, and it does not follow any order or real unnderstandable ideas. I feel like reading this is a complete waste of time as absolutely nothing is sticking.
Good quality, arrived in a timely fashion. :)
Bought this as a required text for class. Arrived as described. Quality textbook.
Needed this for a class. Better than your average required reading. Would recommend for anyone in the field of public administration
