Basic Italian (Workbook/Laboratory Manual). Year later, I brushed up on my Italian with this book for a trip to Italy and rediscovered what an excellent tool and learning guide this book was! Along with the audio tape so you can pronounce all your words correctly, this guide prepared me best for my trip to Italy just as well as for my trips to Little Italy!

When students complete the program, they will not only be able to survive in an Italian-speaking environment, but will also be able to understand and appreciate Italian culture and traditions.

This text consists of 35 grammar lessons and 9 review lessons.

The book was such in a good condition, almost NEW! It was the first time I was ordering a used book and was a bit anxious but, to my surprise, it was like brand new.

I am so excited to find this book again!! I studied Italian years ago as an undergrad and this was our textbook. It has the best guide to pronouncing Italian correctly and makes the rules of speech and grammar incredibly clear. I have referred to it for many years and was devastated when my husband somehow tossed it out during our last move to a new home. I had given up hope of ever being able to replace a college textbook from the early 1970's, but in reading a novel recently which referenced Charles Speroni in its bibliography, the name "rang a bell" and I rushed to Amazon and lo and behold, there is my greatly-missed and even more greatly-desired textbook!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait to begin brushing up once again, utilizing one of the best resources written on Italian speech instruction. This book is written so clearly and done so well that after 40+ years, I think it remains the gold standard of Italian grammar books.
