Amaya Bajaratt is beautiful, elusive, deadly-and she has set in motion a chilling conspiracy that a desperate government cannot stop.

Amaya Bajaratt is 30-something, sun-tanned and stunning - "The Baj" is her name and vengeance her game. She's the most brilliant female terrorist alive, a tactical genius.

After his own wife dies as a result of his lethal spy games, naval intelligence officer Tyrell Hawthorne carves out a new life for himself, but he is drawn back into the "business"

An excellent, tension-filled novel. The characters of Poole, Cath and Hawthorne continue to develop throughout the book. When it appeared that the path we were following was blocked, another path opened up. The drama persisted through the last pages.

Initial review since I'm only 1/3 of the way. Started off great with a female terrorist who is seeking revenge for the death of her husbank. Unfortunately the story is currently in the antagonist "who knows everyone's every move all the time" mode which gets a little old after a while. Also the story is bogged down right now with a former Navy intelligence officer arguing/consoling a young but tough female officer and her tech/mech lieutenant who is (of course) the best in the world. I'm hopeful the story will get back on track.

I have been a Robert Ludlum fan for many years. This book was not like his others. Many more descriptive paragraphs about the environment and less meat. It was difficult for me to finish especially since I knew exactly how it would end. Mr. Ludlum's stories are not usually so easy to figure out.

Mr. Ludlum has some marvelous works to his credit, but unfortunately this isn't among them. The underlying idea that a dozen or so of the highest ranking American government officials are willing to assassinate the sitting U.S. President in support of Arab causes is just too much of a stretch. There is really nothing good about this book. I kept recalling my late mother's advice about not wasting time by continuing to read a bad book.

Robert Ludium only gets better each book I read. This one kept me glued to my kindle I couldn't put it down.

This is the first Robert Ludlum book I've read in a long time. I only gave it a four star rating because it was a confusing plot to follow. Typical Ludlum style take you all over the globe but with way too many characters to keep track of.

For some reason I missed this particular Ludlum book when I read all of his back in the mid-nineties. This wouldn't was written in 1993 and I really don't think it represents the Ludlum that I remember.
This was a very interesting and believable book. The characters are well developed and the plot is very realistic. The story line holds the reader's interest from the beginning to the end.
