The sixth volume in the Agatha, Anthony, Derringer, and Macavity award-winning "Chesapeake Crimes" series includes stories by: Barb Goffman, Rosemary and Larry Mild, E. B. Davis, Shaun Taylor Bevins, Cathy Wiley, Art Taylor, Shari Randall, Meg Opperman, Carla Coupe, Timothy Bentler-Jungr, Linda Lombardi, Debbi Mack, Clyde Linsley, and Donna Andrews. One thing I've learned during a long career as a writer is that a good short story is one of the hardest things to write.

I love a good mystery, one you can curl-up with at night and immerse yourself in; I truly found more than my cup of tea in this work.

We don't just have one mystery to solve, but fifteen, as some top-notch writers take us from one dark corner to the next in reverting tales of murder, mayhem and mystery.

My favorite was,"A Senior Discount On Death." I loved the two main characters, Kate and Marlene and the twist that the story took. At first I felt sorry for them, until I realized it was the 'bad guys,' who needed my pity. I had to chuckle!

However, each story in this book works its own magic, as every author pens their style and talent with excellence. Each story unique, yet brimming with the familiar mystery you anticipated, you will find yourself turning the pages in anticipation and delight. Believe me, you will not be disappointed.

More than a great read, many great reads all wrapped up in one. Outstanding, thank you authors for sharing your talent with a hungry audience that will devour every morsel with joy.

After reading Chesapeake Crimes I, I immediately looked for a follow-up, and here it is. It's somewhat surprising one might think that a by limiting themselves to a relatively small number of contributors, the editors would have to let in second rate stories, but once again, they have produced an unusually fine anthology with a great variety of stories: dead serious, droll, laugh-out-loud funny; gritty to whimsical. Obviously, the Chespeake Chapter of Sisters in Crime is a talented bunch.

A number of the authors were in the first anthology, but most are not. I don't whether to be sorry not to see some of the previous authors, or glad to meet so many good new writiers. I found the first volume to be a great source for finding interesting series. I hope there will be many more collections.
