In February of 1970, Thomas Lynch, aged twenty-one, bought a one-way ticket to Ireland. He landed in the townland of Moveen, at the edge of the ocean in West Clare, outside the thatched cottage that his great-grandfather had left late in the nineteenth century with a one-way ticket to America. Tommy and Nora Lynch, Thomas Lynch's elderly, unmarried, distant cousins welcomed the young American 'home'. In the words of the author, 'it changed my life'

After the lynching, Cameron became a very devout man and vividly describes this day in his autobiographical . He became an anti-lynching activist in Indiana and, later, Wisconsin - where he founded a Black Holocaust Museum.

He became an anti-lynching activist in Indiana and, later, Wisconsin - where he founded a Black Holocaust Museum. He believed that the voice that came from the crowd to save him was the voice of an angel. Cameron died on June 11, 2006, at the age of 92.

I bought this book after seeing Mr. Lynch on a PBS documentary about the funeral business and American's views of death. I thought this funeral director had just written a couple of poems about his work. Mr. Lynch quoted some of his poems and I found them moving. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a poetry book so much as I have enjoyed Thomas Lynch's, "Walking Papers. Every poem contains something meaningful, but also most of them contains something we can laugh at. Lynch (born February 25, 1956 in Los Angeles, California) is an American television . Career. In addition to his emmy-nomination for Outstanding Children's Series for Scout's Safari, Lynch's shows have been nominated for GLAAD Awards, Humanitas Prize, Kid's Choice Awards, Teen Choice Awards, WGA Awards, DGA Awards, Image Awards, Gemini Awards, Leo Awards and Young Artists Awards.

The words ITIO a Child, or In The Interest Of a Child, routinely appear at the top of legal documents that deny children fair access to their fathers or mothers. Through the documents quoted in this book, and under these very words, divorce industry psychologists, attorneys, and a judge, show the reader how they profit from the suffering of a child. This is also the story of a young boy's frustrated struggle against his mom who alienates his father, and against a system that sees him as a source of profit.

Most people are astonished or disbelieving when they read about the plight of noncustodial protective parents. Family Court is a place where truth has a price tag and phrases like "in the best interest of the child" are merely recited to draw attention away from a very dark and corrupt business. Tom and I have had our precious innocent children forcefully torn from us because we/they were naive in our belief that telling the truth about an abusive parent would really matter. Tom extensively documents the way our children and by extension us were put on trial. Our former spouses played to "win" by any means necessary and never had a second thought about destroying the sacred bond of parent and child. All of the players do their part to serve the highest bidder and lives are forever altered, even destroyed. I have no hope that they system can be reformed. It is irrevocably broken and ideally should be replaced. Will our children understand how hard we fought for them or will they have grown to hate us for failing to end their worst nightmare when they were still children?

First of all, this is an incredible story. I found it hard to believe but the documents are in the book. The justice system is supposed to be fair and impartial but there are these incidents that take place, that are well documented in this book. This sums up how divorce has become an exploitative business in the states. What happened to these people is much like what is described happening to the Baldwin family in "A Promise to Ourselves" but this story is about regular people and it has more details and better documented. If you are contemplating divorce, you better read this book first.
