She is the author of If I Knew, Don’t You Think I’d Tell You? and I’ll Tell You One Damn Thing, and That’s All I Know! and the host of the radio program Being Jann. No doubt Arden holds some secrets, some passions, some pain close to the vest, but, like the best gossip in the neighbourhood, she diverts our attention with titillating yarns. She lives in Calgary, Alberta.

It's been said that Jann Arden can bring an audience to tears through song only to have them rolling in the aisles . Reading this book, I know what Jann did every day (and it seems "being famous" sums it up) but there was a lot less emotion and thought.

It's this juxtaposition, the poet's gift for poignant love songs paired with a comedian's timing and self-deprecating wit, that has earned Jann a legion of loyal fans on the stage as well as the page. Still interesting in parts Sorry, Jann - I love you dearly and have enjoyed your other books but this one was a real disappointment, particularly after having read the first "journal" book. Still interesting in parts (although one of the early entries is word for word a repeat from the first book) but lacks heart. Jul 26, 2011 Ashley Bratina rated it it was amazing.

Two years after the success of her first publication if i knew, don©t you think i'd tell you? (Insomniac Press), acclaimed singer / songwriter and now bestselling author Jann Arden is at it again with her second book, i'll tell you one damn thing, and that's all i know. Little escapes the observant and immensely creative Jann whose musings and entertaining ramblings travel beyond goose poop (if you don't remember, buy the first book) to ponder the state of the world, the state of the States, and the state of her hair (she really is a blonde).
