Great story for a child in about 4th or 5th grade but also informative to those who don't understand the role of a hearing assist dog. Don't know if the story was true but it was cute.

Some books leave one with a feeling of quiet happiness: this was one such book. Before I knew it, I was fully identifying with Willa and sympathizing with how much her deafness constrained her world. Then Honey the service dog enters her life, brings joy, and widens her world. For a touching, memorable dog story look no further.
Nothing personal
I read this book *ages* ago. Then I promptly bought a copy. This book is *so* good there are just not enough words. It made me feel sad, and glad, and noble and young all at the same time. The book is wonderful for anyone, especially young ladies who happen to like dogs -- especially golden retrievers. :-) Marvelous.

If you would like to know more about how service dogs can help their owners be sure to read this inspiring story about Willa and her dog. I had to finish this as soon as I could to find out what happened to Willa. I like believable happy endings:)
