I am a self taught potter and was interested in learning some of the history behind the craft so I purchased this book. I haven't read the whole book yet but I find it easy to read, clear plain language. There are lots of photos, but they are black and white, it would be nice to see the glaze colors, but otherwise I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn more about the history of pottery.
