Her instructions, accompanied by good photographs, are clear and easy to follow. She thoroughly explains how and why the postures are effective, and she writes in a gentle and contemplative style. Remember that this is no race and that there is no need to rush to do all the moves at once. You will still notice the difference.

I discovered Waking Up for Beginners in 2005. I was inspired by the first chapter and began the practice immediately. Two years later, I have more energy, sleep less, eat better, and I am two sizes smaller.
The practice is spiritually enlightening and emotionally liberating.
It is a shame that this book is not available. Please do anything you can to make this book available to American readers. It will change lives!
