Publisher:Scott Foresman. Most of us thought it was a great book. We felt that we learned a lot about what it's like for someone to have to leave his or her family and go to a foster home for a while. We were interested in how Carlie changes

Publisher:Scott Foresman. Published by Thriftbooks. We were interested in how Carlie changes. At the beginning she is sharp-tongued with everyone and she's angry all the time. Nine-year-old Heather doesn't want to turn ten until wacky Rosa Rita shows her that growing up isn't so bad.
This book has been a great one for decades and it still is. I got it for my 9-year-old grandson to read and he is enjoying it immensely. I think he sees himself in it, so he doesn't feel alone.
Great book for young girls. I gave the book as a gift to my neice and to my grand daughter. They loved it.
