An action-packed adventure, Man Eater is the scariest Extreme Adventure yet!.

There isn't really a word to describe the noise a volcano makes when it erupts. The leopard crouching in the bushes looked like something out of a nightmare. One ear was gone and so was one eye, and there was no fur on half its head. The mean glint in its remaining eye told me that it was the man-eater that had killed half the village. An action-packed adventure, Man Eater is the scariest Extreme Adventure yet!.

My daughter loves the Extreme Adventure series, and this is her favorite of the bunch! A new twist every chapter keeps it exciting. Not boring to read aloud as a parent, either.

My nephew asked for these books. Since he loves to play with his iPad, I wanted to encourage his attention AWAY from electronic media. His twin brothers are next in line to devouring these books!!

Sam Fox, 14, is in Tanzania representing Australia at the Youth for Wildlife Conference in this, Book 6 of the series. When he heads behind a tree for some privacy in the five minute bathroom break whilst driving through a game reserve, a baby elephant takes an interest him which means its mama is not far away! Needless to say the bus moves on without Sam and this action packed adventure begins! No slow moments in this one! Danger is around every corner include a spitting cobra whose aim is accurate leaving Sam in intense pain.

Help comes from two Masai boys, Olki (10) and Mamposhe (7) who are goat herders. Olki agrees to help get Sam to the road in order to catch the bus to the nearest hospital but first they treat his eyes with milk which helps ease the pain somewhat. There is a problem though: to get to the road the two boys have to cross the Chui Hills. Who lives there? The notorious and feared man-eating leopard! With a baboon shouting the warning what do Olki and Sam do when they find themselves not only face to face with the man-eating leopard but also have a leopard in a tree behind them?!

Coming across the mother elephant and her baby again later, the boys realize that the baby has been caught in a poacher's trap. Thinking the bus is finally arriving to help them who should Sam see again but the poachers from earlier coming to kill the mama for her ivory tusks! Can Sam fool them in to taking him to the hospital? Yes BUT the trip doesn't turn out as planned and more adventures occur. A very exciting and adrenaline filled end!

Great for the whole family or independent readers.
