Lots of good, organized ideas.

The fun lessons presented here will inform and motivate a pre-school child like no other. The exercises are fun for the child and the parent alike. The title of the book is exactly what the exercises do. I can't imagine a better book for a parent and preschooler.

This is a complete program that can help a keen parent to give their children some great advantages before they enter pre-school. Not only will this help them mentally and physically it will help them to settle into the routine of learning that they will be introduced to in pre-school. This book is so easy to follow, the instructions are simple and easy to remember so you aren't constantly interupting your activity to see what is next. I think that even if you don't want to follow the whole program you can use this book just to get ideas for activities to keep the kids occupied. I have not yet found a book in this genre that is so helpful and straight to the point. There is only a short message on the aim of the book, there is no child pshycology jargon that you have to sift through just to get the message. Excellent!

This is a day by day layout of the skills your child should have before entering school. It is very easy to follow what is listed for each day. At the end of the 11 weeks, your child will know left from right, his address and phone number, colors, shapes, sounds of letters, counting to 20 and much more.
This is a fun easy way for the parent to help the child be ready to succeed in school!

I sent this to my daughter in California to use with her sons ages four and two. She has been using the book daily and after several weeks is finding that both boys are beginning to understand new concepts better. Saying the day of the week, the days that go before and after, the months, the color for the week, the weather of the day, doing the activities and repeating information they learn will be useful when they get to preschool. I do think that the Slow and Steady, Get Me Ready book by Oberlander is a better book as it starts from the first day of the childs life and goes through to the end of the fifth year. This book though does teach basics that every child needs to learn. Its a good book for those parents who need an already planned out program that is not too long and it does get toddlers thinking.
