I'm a big fan of Tess Mallos. Bottom line - a nice book for someone interested only in Turkish food, or as a gift to someone you think might like to start cooking Turkish. Otherwise, her previous collections are much better deals.
I'm a big fan of Tess Mallos. Her recipes are simple, healthy, and produce results good enough for entertaining. This Turkish cookbook has her usual great recipes, and has attractive photographs of most of the dishes.

She wrote a number of books on Greek and Middle Eastern cuisine. Her parents, both from the Greek island of Kythera, emigrated to Australia where she was born and raised in the country town of Casino, New South Wales.
Tess Mallos has been involved in the food industry for more than half her life, working as a consultant to various food enterprises, conducting cooking programs and writing many highly successful books. She was brought up in a Greek family in Sydney, and has been cooking since childhood. Travel and years of experience meant that by the time she wrote The Complete Middle Eastern Cookbook in 1979 she had become aware of how centuries of history intertwine in the cuisines of the region, with each country’s cooking influencing and being enriched by the others.
