“Is the experience of God’s grace in your life a thrilling thing? Just thinking about the fact that God, by His own sovereign plan, decided to be gracious to me is overwhelming. There is nothing greater than receiving grace upon grace.” ―John MacArthur

Excellent Explanation of God's Grace and how it changes our lives. Not only does His grace save us, but it also, and just as importantly, changes our hearts so that we deeply want to serve Him by being obedient to His Word. I have been confused by those who have used God's grace as a license to live any sort of way. I have actually thought that I was wrong in feeling convicted about my every act of disobedience against God. But now I know that it's God's grace that causes me to mourn over my wrongdoing and to constantly seek to know Him and live according to His Word! AMEN!!! Thank You Pastor John MacArthur! And thank You Father for how You are using Him to discern to us Your Holy Word! In Jesus' Holy Name, Amen!!!

John MacArthur must labor over each of his works. He doesn't mince words, or add things that are unnecesary. He quickly and effectively cuts to the heart of the matter. And every point that he makes is bolstered by scripture. You, may on, occasion not like what you hear, but you can bet that it's the truth. The main point that I took away from this book is that God gives us everything good: grace, salvation, even repentance. And if he has not given them to us, we cannot show evidence of any of them. A discerning Christian must look for this evidence in everyone who claims to be one of us. We do a disservice to all of Christendom when we blindly accept someone's profession of Christianity when the preponderance of evidence speaks against it.

This was a really great book on the foundational truth of grace. The author states a Biblical as well as a realistic look at grace. So many Christians are unaware of the soverignty of God and the doctrine of election as well as grace. As sinful human beings we think it's all about us, John MacArthur shows very clearly (in a refreshingly short and sweet narrative) that it's all about God. Even in our salvation God is glorified. I would highly recommend this book for any Christian wanting a concise, Biblical look at God's grace.

MacArthur hits a home run here, as usual. His thorough treatment of the topic, ample use of scripture, and many end notes are extremely helpful. Research is much easier due to the extensive citation.

John does his usual great job on the subject. Sometimes he gives to much detail and I want to skip ahead at times. He is one of my favorite authors.
Awesome read, especially for me a "baby Christian" so to speak. A great study as well. The entire series is worth the read!
